Writers of various origins will testify, through their works and their personal experiences, of their quest for hope and perspective during the period of the Covid-19 crisis. Months of isolation have produced literary gems evoking their fears and loneliness, but also a reflection on what is essential, conveying new aspirations.

Jan Ducheyne and Laurence Vielle composed a new poem about climate justice. Climate poets Jan Ducheyne and Lies Jo Vandenhende will present poems from the poetry collection Zwemlessen voor later as well as other poems from their own work. Teuk Henri, guitarist of Noodzakelijk Kwaad, will provide the musical accompaniment.

KURDISH POETRY AFTERNOON
Evin is of Kurdish descent. She will recite a Kurdish poem, meshing themes such as love, nostalgia for her Kurdish homeland and earth, the position of women and gender equality. Accompanied by traditional local music: Tembur, Kurdish Kurmanjî.
